A feast of hockey headlines this weekend’s offering on SuperSport Schools, the all-new streaming service (DStv app channel 246, 247 and Showmax).

Matches featuring several Western Cape schools, including Paarl Gimnasium, Rondebosch, Wynberg and Paul Roos, will be played on Friday and Saturday at both Paarl Gimnasium and the WP Cricket Club astro.

There is also action from KZN with three matches scheduled at Northwood School, one of which will stream on SuperSport Schools with the other two featuring on SuperSport’s YouTube channel.

In a particular highlight, Eastern Cape focus will be on Queenstown where the hockey sides of Queens and Selborne will meet in a traditional derby fixture.

Major schools rugby goes down on Saturday with several appetising fixtures: Paarl Gim vs Paul Roos (SSS and Showmax); Bishops vs SACS (SSS YouTube); Queens vs Selborne (SSS and Showmax) and Pretoria Boys vs Jeppe (SSS YouTube).

□ One of the heavyweight clashes of the rugby season will also take place on Saturday: Paarl Boys against Grey College, which will be broadcast live on SS Rugby and SS Variety 4 at 2pm.
